Description of the Lester Piano

This beautiful instrument has been in the family for all its life, well taken care of and loved.  It is in great condition - in fact, the last time it was tuned, the piano tuner mentioned that due to its being in such excellent condition, that if I ever wanted to sell it, that he would love to know about it first.  Unfortunately he has since moved away.  Here is the official description:

I am selling the piano for $900 or best offer.  It was appraised by bluebookofpianos.com for $1450.00 when fully tuned.  It has been about six years since it was last tuned (I no longer play it) and I was told that this is the type of piano that needs to be tuned in stages (can't stretch the strings too tight all at once).  So this is a great deal!

The piano has always been in homes - climate controlled living rooms and it has not been moved much (only twice in over 50 years).  I played it more when I was growing up and then I got into other instruments once I became an adult.  I need to make space in my home and that is why I am selling this family treasure.

It is a 1953 Lester piano - the model is the Betsy Ross Spinet #239371.  It comes with the original piano bench which opens to hold music and books (same color, same wood).  The piano has always been dusted and polished - it has never been around smokers, however it does live in the same home as cats.  In fact, one cat tends to "play it" as he walks to his window perch.  This is really an incredible deal - the piano is in excellent shape, it only needs to be tuned - which is the reason why I have it listed so much lower than the appraised value.  Aside from a bit of tuning, this piano is ready to go!  See the photos posted around this blog for more.

The buyer assumes all responsibility for moving and transportation costs.  Thanks for reading!
